IIT Delhi has emerged as the second choice for the meritorious students who have secured place in the top 100 ranks of JEE Advanced. IIT Bombay has secured the first position. This has come to light in the annual report of IIT Guwahati, which conducted the JEE Advanced examination this year. According to the report, 46 meritorious students who were ranked in the top 50 got admission in IIT Bombay. At the same time, 67 meritorious students in the top 100 liked it. At second place, 22 meritorious students have taken admission in IIT Delhi and eight meritorious students have taken admission in IIT Madras, which has become the third choice. The report analyzed the choices of the meritorious including the top 1000 rankers. A total of 17 thousand have got admission in IIT.

According to the report, the meritorious students who got top 1000 ranks in JEE Advanced did not show any interest in 13 IITs. In this, top one thousand rankers in IIT Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Jodhpur, Gandhinagar, Patna, Dhanbad, Ropar, Bhilai, Palakkad, Goa, Tirupati, Jammu and Dharwad did not take admission.

Apply for JEE Main by 30th November
The last date of application for JEE Main Session-1 entrance is 30 November 2023. JEE Main Session-1 exam will be held on 24 January and 1 February 2024 while Session-2 exam will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024. Information about exam city will be given in the second week of January. Admit cards will be issued three days before the exam date. The result of JEE Main Session 1 will come on 12th February. After the completion of JEE Main examinations, the rank of students will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.
