MBBS admission: National Medical Commission (NMC) has declared the enrollment in MBBS course after September 30 as invalid. Also asked to stop the ongoing process of counseling and nomination. According to NMC, the last date of counseling for admission to MBBS seats was fixed as September 30. Continuing the counseling process after this date is a violation of our order. In such a situation, the students who have been given admission from Central and State quota after September 30, should be removed immediately. Due to this order, the problems of the students who took admission on 860 MBBS seats in Bihar after September 30 have increased.
With the National Medical Commission (NMC) declaring the enrollment in MBBS course after September 30 as invalid, the future of 860 students who took admission in the medical colleges of Bihar after this date hangs in balance. Because, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has conducted admission for 860 MBBS seats in the third phase from October 1 to 4.

In the third phase, a total of 1093 seats including MBBS, Dental and Veterinary were allotted in Bihar. These included 597 seats out of total 1206 MBBS seats in government medical colleges. Nominations took place after 30 on these 597 seats. At the same time, the merit list was released for the third round of nomination on 263 MBBS seats of private colleges. After 30, nominations have also been made on 75 seats in government dental colleges and 122 seats in private dental colleges. Even after this, 144 seats of MBBS and Dental remain vacant. For this, choice filling was done till 18th October. BCECEB OSD Anil Kumar Sinha said that further action will be taken as per the guidelines received from the Health Department.
