Annual Calendar 2024: For the first time, the education department has decided a kind of leave table for classes 1 to 12. Earlier, the district used to decide holidays for elementary schools. At the same time, the Secondary Directorate used to issue leave orders for secondary and higher secondary schools.

In the order issued by the department, it has been said that summer vacation will be from 15th April to 15th May only for the students. If the District Officer wants to declare any kind of holiday on a special occasion in any district, then he will have to take permission from the headquarters. The headmaster of any school will not declare holiday in the school on his own, otherwise action will be taken against him. Annual functions, Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti and birth anniversaries of other great men will be celebrated in all schools. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the summer vacation may be changed. After lunch break on Thursday, a meeting with parents and Children’s Parliament will be organized.

Summer leave extended for students, teachers will not get it

The Education Department has made many changes this time for the 2024 calendar year. Rakshabandhan holiday has been abolished. At the same time, summer vacation has been increased from 20 to 30 days. The department has decided that during the summer vacation, teachers and non-teaching staff will continue to come to school like other days. There will be one day holiday in Diwali and three days holiday in Chhath. There will be two days holiday on Holi and three days holiday on Durga Puja. The holidays of Teej, Jiutiya, Janmashtami and Mahashivratri have been cancelled. In 2023, there were two days off on Teej and one day on Jiutiya.
