Scores will come in percentile, understand how it is different from percentile.
CAT scores will be released in percentile. Understand with example-

Suppose a student has got 80 marks in the examination, then it means that he has got 80 marks out of 100. At the same time, if it is said that the percentile of a student is 80, it would mean that the marks of 80 students appearing in that examination are less than that. Similarly, if a student’s percentile in IIM CAT is 98, it means that 98 students are below him in that exam. It is important to know that in CAT exam, different percentile is given based on the performance in different sections. IIM assesses the percentile of all these sections to decide which section should be given priority for admission.
