CHP Nab A Fugitive Booked Under DUI After Long Pursuit

Los Angeles, California: The California Highway Patrol arrested a fugitive in a hot car chase. The fugitive skipped his court hearing many times in a row.

The man identified as Abarca Tianguiz was booked under DUI earlier this year after he crashed his car into another vehicle claiming the life of a passenger. The authorities arrested him at that time and found him without a driving license.

Initially arrested for manslaughter and DUI, Tianguiz fled his court appearance. He was driving a  gray car that struck a tow truck on I-880. The fatal accident happened on April 23 earlier this year.

After being held in Santa Rita County Jail for a while, he was eventually released on bond and told to appear in court.

After he missed his court hearing, authorities determined to nab him chased him, and re-arrested him. The arrest gave some closure to the victim’s family.
