UPSC Success story: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the toughest examinations in India. Candidates work hard for many years to clear this exam, some promising candidates pass this exam, while some fail. Today we are going to tell you about a person who has passed the UPSC exam not once or twice but four times consecutively.

We are talking about IPS officer Amrit Jain. Who is currently working on the post of ASP (Training) (Assistant Superintendent of Police) in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Amrit Jain appeared for UPSC exam in the year 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and was successful in all attempts. In the year 2018, he was included in the reserve list and got Indian Defense Accounts Service (IDAS). He got 321 rank in UPSC 2019, 96 rank in UPSC 2020 and 179 rank in UPSC 2021.

Amrit Jain has graduated in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal and Czech Technical University. After completing his degree, he took up a high paying job at SEC Industries Private Limited in Hyderabad. After some time of working, he realized that he should appear for UPSC exam, after which he started preparing.

pass exam without coaching

Amrit has been a promising student since the beginning, he did not take any help from coaching for UPSC preparation and prepared on his own. In an interview he had said, “He was doing a good high paying job and everything was settled, but he decided to try for UPSC CSE and gave himself only two chances. He thought that if If he does not pass UPSC in these two attempts, he will return to the field of engineering again.

In the year 2016, he appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time. He had given this exam without much preparation and with less confidence, in which he could not succeed. Then in the year 2017, he corrected his mistake and prepared a lot. When the results of UPSC Prelims came, he was surprised, in fact this time he had missed by less than one mark i.e. 0.66 marks.

He had given himself two attempts for UPSC, but the 2017 result changed his mind. After which he decided that he would not stop now and would prepare hard for this examination.

He did all his preparation from Jaipur and did not take any coaching help. After which he changed his exam strategy and started preparation. He had told that UPSC is constantly changing its pattern of CSE, and for this one needed to be completely alert and informed. After which he passed the UPSC exam 4 times consecutively.

No regrets on getting IAS

Amrit Jain cleared CSE four times with very good ranks, yet he could not get IAS, which was his dream. However, he does not regret it. He said, “IAS is a dream for everyone preparing for CSE, but not everyone achieves it. I am very happy to be an IPS officer now.”
