Garima Lohia, a native of Bihar, grew up in a business family. He was born in Buxar. Being a business family, there was always an atmosphere of education in the house. She was good in studies from the beginning, after completing her schooling, she obtained a degree in Accounting from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University in the year 2020. While pursuing her graduation, Garima realized that she should appear in the UPSC exam, after which she started preparing for the exam.
When Garima decided to prepare for UPSC, she did not take any coaching due to COVID-19, as there was a nationwide lockdown. In such a situation, he prepared only with the help of self study. At that time he started his preparation with some basic books and internet. To improve his skills, he also participated in the Men’s Test Series. Along with this, he carefully analyzed the previous year question papers of UPSC and paid attention to his writing.
When she appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time in the year 2021, she was not able to clear it. However, he did not see this failure as defeat and decided to take the exam a second time.
Before giving the UPSC exam for the second time, she increased her study time and started studying 12 hours a day. In the year 2022, Garima took the UPSC exam for the second time and secured second position. This was no less than a dream for him.
He said, “I studied at home. I used to study from 9 pm to 9 am.” Let me tell you, during this time she used to take breaks in between to calm her mind. At the same time, the night time is of peace, in such a situation she used to study. For this, this time seemed to be the most based. Every candidate chooses such a time for studies as per his own, in which no one should disturb him.

– Garima believes that there is no single formula for preparations because the study strategy is different for every candidate.
