Gave UPSC after MBA, failed twice, became IPS officer in third attempt

UPSC Success story: Every year only a few out of lakhs of candidates crack India’s toughest examination to become IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS officers. IPS officer Ankita Sharma had failed to crack UPSC twice, but due to her hard work and dedication, she passed the exam in the third attempt and became IPS.

Ankita is a resident of Durg, Chhattisgarh. He did his schooling from the village government school. She was very smart in studies right from the beginning. After school, he took his graduation degree and then did an MBA course. She wanted to become an IPS officer from the beginning, but thought it best to complete her studies first. After completing her studies, she chose the path of UPSC and came to Delhi for preparation.

He spent very little time in Delhi preparing for UPSC. She could barely stay in Delhi for six months and had to return home. Now after returning home, he did not join any coaching center for UPSC preparation. After which he thought it best to do self study. However, when she appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time, she failed in it.

However, he did not give up and once again decided to appear for the UPSC exam for the second time. This time too, luck did not favor her and she failed in UPSC for the second time. She was a little disappointed after seeing the result, but kept her confidence intact.

His hard work bore fruit in the third attempt and he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IPS officer by securing 203rd rank.
