There will be a 10 percent increase in the honorarium of 31 thousand para teachers (assistant teachers) of Jharkhand. These para teachers who were successful in the assessment examination will get the benefit of honorarium increase with effect from 29 September 2023. For this, the School Education and Literacy Department has issued instructions to all the districts. The honorarium of 25,614 trained para teachers who were successful in the assessment examination from class I to V will be increased by Rs 1200 and the honorarium of 5339 para teachers who were successful from class VI to VIII will be increased by Rs 1400. They will be paid honorarium along with arrears. For this, all the districts have been asked to give proposals along with increase in honorarium of the respective successful para teachers.
This increase was to happen with effect from January 2023. The year of 2023 passed, but the annual increase of four per cent in the honorarium of about five to six thousand para teachers could not be achieved. This increase was to happen with effect from January 1, 2023, but due to not giving authority to the municipal body, this increase could not happen. At other places, approval was received from the Panchayat and Block level, after which the annual honorarium was increased by four percent.
JSSC: Jharkhand 26000 teacher recruitment exam will be postponed, they will get a chance to apply along with CTET pass.
