ICAI CA May 2024: Final and intermediate exams may be postponed due to these reasons, read details

CA Inter, Final exams May 2024: According to speculations going on on social media, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) CA Final and Intermediate exams May 2024 are likely to be postponed. Although no official information has come from ICAI yet, but it is being told that CA Inter, Final Exam 2024 will be postponed for three weeks and the postponement of the exam will be officially announced by March 16.

According to some social media accounts, ICAI CA Exam 2024 is likely to be postponed due to two reasons. The first reason is the Lok Sabha elections and the second reason is the changed examination pattern.

Let us tell you, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had announced changes in the pattern of CA Foundation and Inter examinations. In which it was said, Foundation and Inter examinations will be conducted three times a year. Till now, CA Inter and Foundation exams were conducted by ICAI twice a year, but candidates can now get a chance to appear for CA Foundation and Inter exams thrice in a year. Along with this, for information related to postponement of the examination, candidates are advised to visit the official website – icai.org.

As per the official schedule of CA exams, CA Final May Exam 2024 for Group 1 will be held on May 2, 4, 6. Whereas for Group 2, the examination will be conducted on 8, 10, 12 May. Whereas CA Inter exam for Group 1 and 2 will be conducted from May 3 to May 13, 2024.

Know about ICAI CA exam

ICAI Foundation Examination is the first stage examination or entry level examination to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) in India. Students who have passed class 12th examination from any recognized institute can appear for CA Foundation exam. The second stage after passing the CA Foundation exam is CA Intermediate. In CA Intermediate stage, there are two groups of four subjects each. After clearing the foundation, a student becomes eligible to apply for CA intermediate courses. Then after that CA final examination is conducted, which is the last stage of becoming a CA.
