The University Grants Commission (UCG) has sent a letter to all the universities of the country and issued instructions to start the new session on time. It has been said that after completing the enrollment process in July, classes should be started in the first week of August. If the session does not start on time, the funds given to all the universities can be stopped. Along with this, universities also have to give utilization certificate of the amount given earlier. Even before this, many universities had not given the utilization certificate and their funds were stopped. Many universities of Bihar are also included in these.
UGC said that in any case graduates should start first year classes in August. Before this, it has also been suggested to complete the admission process from all the universities and higher educational institutions. Here, CUET for enrollment in all the central universities is from 15th to 31st May. However, more than ten lakh students have applied for this examination. Last time there was a delay in admission from CUET.
Along with this, citing the rules, UGC has also asked the university to release the academic calendar soon. So that the educational activities of the institute and its affiliated colleges can be conducted on time. As part of the initiative to bring the academic session back on track, the Commission has also asked to declare the results of the previous graduation classes by the end of June and to start the graduation classes for the second and subsequent years by the first week of July. The Commission had directed to release the academic calendar by April 15.
PG session is going on delayed in universities of the state
Many universities of Bihar have released the academic calendar, while many have not. In most of the postgraduate sessions, they are getting delayed. In Jai Prakash University Chapra, the PG session is delayed by two years and the graduation session is delayed by six months. PG session in Veer Kunwar Singh University, Arrah is delayed by six months. Examination of some courses could not be conducted in Magadh University. The session of BN Mandal is also delayed by six months. The session of Maulana Mazharul Haq University is also delayed. While Patna University has started the process of application for graduation, it will start in Patliputra University in May.
