Talking subject wise in the Joint Entrance Examination, the difficulty level of questions asked in Mathematics subject was moderate, whereas the level of questions asked in Chemistry subject was easy. Overall, this paper was of moderate level according to the students. Let us tell you, the first shift of JEE Main was organized from 9 am to 12 noon.

Chemistry

The questions asked in Chemistry section were overall based on NCERT books. Questions were asked in the paper from all the chapters of the syllabus. Some questions were asked from memory based data, which confused the students. In the examination, questions were asked from main chapters like Electrochemistry, Hydrocarbons, Chemical Kinetics and Chemical Bonding.

Physics

A large number of students who appeared in JEE Main said that the Physics section asked in the exam was easy. Questions from Mechanics, Current Electricity were asked in the exam.

Mathematics

Based on the feedback of the students who appeared in the examination, it is being said that the Mathematics paper was a bit difficult. Students said that the level of questions was not that difficult, but a lot of calculations had to be done to solve them, due to which this section seemed long. Questions from Coordinate Geometry, Differential Equations, Complex Numbers, Vector and 3D were asked in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered as per the syllabus.

Overall, the first shift paper of JEE Main was a balanced paper which could be solved in the stipulated time.
