Haley Ryan, age 21, was taken into custody by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, August 14, following the appearance of a video that went viral showing Ryan yelling and beating her child, as stated on the social media accounts of the department.

At an earlier time on Wednesday, the Dayton Police Department issued a statement to Dayton 24/7 Now in which it indicated that it was aware of the video that had been circulating on the internet.

During the course of the inquiry, the sheriff’s office verified on social media that the Denver Police Department collaborated with them.

Despite the fact that Ryan was booked into jail, the sheriff’s office has stated that the child is safe and is currently in the custody of Children Services. They also stated that official charges are still pending.
