There will be holiday on October 28 in hundreds of schools and colleges of UP, order not to conduct examination for 2 days due to UPSSSC PET.

UPSSSC PET 2023: Due to the Preliminary Eligibility Examination (PET-2023) of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission, hundreds of schools and colleges in 35 districts of the state will remain closed (UP Schools, Colleges Holiday) on 28 October 2023. There will be a holiday in schools and colleges where PET examination centers have been designated. The government has also asked all universities, institutes and schools not to conduct any examination on October 28 and October 29. It is noteworthy that UPSSSC PET 2023 written examination is being conducted in 4 shifts (two shifts each day) on 28th and 29th October in total 35 districts of the state.

While issuing instructions to the departments of Higher Education, Secondary Education, Basic Education, Vocational Education and Medical Education, the government said, ‘Instructions are given to the concerned regarding not conducting any examination on 28th and 29th October in the university/institution/school under its control. Also, due to Saturday, 28th October 2023 not being a public holiday, the students of those universities/institutions/schools at the examination centers where the written examination of PET is being conducted, will have to do so on that day (28th October). Please make efforts to direct the concerned to declare academic holiday also so that PET can be conducted smoothly.

UPSSSC PET Admit Card will be released very soon on the website upsssc.gov.in. Applications for PET were taken till August 30. Let us tell you that it is mandatory to take this examination to participate in the recruitment for Group C posts in various departments of the UP government. The score of PET 2022 is valid till January 24, 2024. These will be valid for the advertisements issued by the Commission for recruitment during this period. After this, those in PET-2023 will be considered eligible. This will also be valid for one year.

– The qualifying examination will be of 100 marks and two hours. There is a provision for negative marking in this. A quarter mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
– Main examination, skill test or physical test will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted on the basis of PET score as per the specific requirements of various departments and provisions of service rules.

UP ANM Mandi Parishad Joint Cadre, Revenue Accountant Post, Assistant Boring Technician, ITI Instructor, Combined Technical Service, Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard, Gram Panchayat Officer, X-Ray Technician, Agriculture Assistant, Junior Assistant in Revenue Department, Accountant and Auditor. For recruitment to the posts of surveyor etc. in the sugarcane department, one has to first appear in PET. PET is mandatory for recruitment to these posts.
