Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) is considered to be one of the well-paid government jobs. This is a Grade-II post and to get this post one has to appear in the examination conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Let us tell you, recently Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs has started the application process for IB ACIO Grade 2 Executive Exam 2023 which will end on December 15, 2023. Candidates can apply for the posts through the official website of MHA, mha.gov.in. Appointment will be made to 995 posts through this recruitment examination.

ACIO salary structure is as follows.

1. Pay Scale- Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400

2. Grade Pay – Rs 4,600

3.Basic salary- Rs 13,500

4. CPC Fitment Factor – Rs 35,370

5. House Rent Allowance – Rs 4,050

6. Transport Allowance – Rs 3,200

7. Gross Salary- Rs 42,600

8. Employee Provident Fund Organization – Rs 1,350

9. CGHS- Rs 500

10. Total deduction – Rs 1,890

11. In hand salary – Rs 40,730 (Approximate)

Incentives given to ACIO officer

– City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) – CCA is given under Tier I to compensate the expenses of ACIO officers if they are living in a metropolitan city. Sometimes allowances are also given to employees working in tier-2 cities.

– Medical Allowance- IB ACIO officers also receive Medical Allowance to cover medical bills.

– Mileage Allowance- According to the Seventh Pay Commission, officers get mileage allowance. This allowance is given for travel of at least 8 km or more during office hours.

– Diensy Allowance- This is a special incentive started by ACIO officers. Let us tell you, along with these allowances, officers also get other allowances like offers on news paper, guest expenses and electronics.
