Two real sisters cleared UPSC together, became IAS officers, this was the strategy

UPSC Success story: The syllabus of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is so huge that it takes many years for the candidates to cover it. Every year lakhs of candidates apply for this exam, out of which only a few are selected for higher posts like IAS, IPS, IFS. This is the reason why candidates who crack UPSC are considered very bright. Today we are talking about two sisters from Delhi, who appeared in the UPSC exam together in the same year and achieved the post of IAS. Know about the UPSC success story of Delhi’s Ankita Jain and Vaishali Jain and how they prepared.

Ankita Jain and Vaishali Jain from Delhi had cleared UPSC CSE 2020 in the same year. While Vaishali had secured 21st rank in the UPSC exam in her second attempt, her elder sister Ankita Jain had secured 3rd rank in her fourth attempt.

The corona virus epidemic spread rapidly in the year 2020. In which elder sister Ankita got infected with Corona even before the main examination, but Ankita maintained her courage and patience. In an interview, Ankita said, “It was a challenging time for me mentally and physically. My entire preparation schedule was disrupted due to Covid, but I motivated myself and studied to the best of my ability. I tried to give my 100% and whatever I studied, I wrote the same in the exam.” When the results came, my hard work paid off and I cleared the UPSC Mains exam.

‘IAS sisters’ had to face these problems during preparation

Not only Ankita but her sister Vaishali Jain was also affected by Corona virus. Both of them were infected with Covid-19 just before the exam, but both maintained their courage.

Let us tell you, in the year 2017, elder sister Ankita had given her UPSC exam for the first time, but she was unsuccessful. After which he worked hard continuously and achieved success in his fourth attempt. Presently he is posted as Indian Audit and Accounts Service Officer in Mumbai.

Let us tell you, Ankita has studied Computer Science at Delhi Technological University. He did coaching in Delhi for the optional subject “Philosophy”. He told in an interview, “After failing in the exam thrice, this time I have worked on my weakness. “I prepared better for those subjects due to which I used to fail.”

Let us tell you, after recovering from Covid, Ankita started studying online. He believes that UPSC aspirants should take advantage of online studies. “If you are unable to study alone then you should form a group online and study with others.”

IAS Ankita’s younger sister Vaishali also could not clear UPSC Prelims in her first attempt. Vaishali Jain has completed her graduation degree in B.Tech from Delhi Technological University (DTU). With this she was a gold medalist. After B.Tech degree, Vaishali did M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Although she was doing her engineering. After which she started preparing for UPSC like her elder sister. His optional subject was Mechanical Engineering.

While she was working in the health sector for M.Tech, she started aspiring to become an IAS officer. Vaishali says, “I felt like doing something better and bigger, after which I started UPSC exam. Sister Ankita supported me a lot for this exam and guided me well.

While preparing for the exam, he paid special attention to his strengths and weaknesses. He had focused well on both the optional subjects Mechanical Engineering and GS. There were four papers of GS and two papers of Mechanical and he had scored 250 marks in both.
