UGC Universities List: List of universities offering online and distance learning courses released, check here

UGC Universities List: University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the list of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) and universities offering online, open and distance learning courses. According to the official notification of UGC, UGC has recognized 80 universities which run many types of distance learning programs.

This list released by UGC includes Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Dibrugarh University, Assam, Punjab University, Chandigarh and Delhi-based Jamia Millia Islamia (Delhi). The list of HEIs is available on the website of UGC Distance Education Bureau (DEB) Available at.

According to the notice of UGC, the last date for application in these online and ODL programs run by universities is March 31, 2024. The last date for submitting student data on the portal is 15 April 2024.

The special thing is that it has been clarified that online applications for these courses were invited for the respective higher education institutions. These applications were invited under Regulation 3(A), Regulation 3 (B)(b) of the UGC’s ODL Regulations 2020. In this regard, UGC has amended the rules for recognition of programs from time to time.

UGC has said that higher education institutions have given written affidavits about the open and distance learning and online courses being run by them. If the information given by the institutions turns out to be wrong in any way or if facts are hidden, the institutions themselves will be held responsible for it.
