Vandana Kashyap was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has two elder brothers and his father worked in MTNL. She completed her 12th class from Government Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Mayur Vihar-2, Delhi. After which he took graduation degree from IGNOU. Let us tell you, she was not good in studies from the beginning. Let us tell you, from the beginning she used to dream of doing something big in her life.
Vandana told in an interview given to a news channel, when she saw her elder brother getting selected for CRPF, the first thought that came to her mind was to become a police officer. She said that whenever her brother used to return home from his duty, his uniform used to attract her a lot, after which Vandana used to look at herself in the mirror wearing her brother’s uniform and act as a police officer and Somewhere along the way I used to think about becoming a police officer. Vandana herself did not realize when gradually the thought in her mind had transformed into a goal. After some time she decided that she too would become an officer. Initially, his parents were against it, as his mother always wanted him to become a teacher and his father wanted him to work in a government bank in a good position. However, somehow he convinced his parents and started preparing for the UP Police written exam in full swing.
In the year 2021, Vandana decided to give the UP Police Constable exam and in her first attempt, she cleared the written exam. Let us tell you, after the written exam, when Vandana had her physical exam, she failed by 9 seconds. However, Vandana did not give up and decided to give the UP Police written exam again. Along with preparing for the written examination, he also paid attention to his physical training. Vandana had passed her written examination in her second attempt. It was a happy occasion for the entire family that the daughter of the house achieved success in the UP Police Constable exam and physical exam. While the family was celebrating, who knew that clouds of sorrow were going to surround their family.
During all those years when Vandana was preparing to become a police officer, her father’s health started deteriorating and he was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, he passed away in December 2022. After which, within a few months, he did his physical training for a year at the Moradabad centre. Let us tell you, after hard work she became UP Police Sub-Inspector.
